The first is the Screw Pushup which is a variation that will improve shoulder endurance and mobility, which is greatly needed by all MMA fighters… Definitely add this one into your workouts…

The second is the Pillow Twist, which will improve both hip and shoulder mobility as well as upper body strength.

Here are 2 more exercises from the TACFIT Commando program created by Scott Sonnon and Ryan Murdock demonstrated by Eric Wong…

The first is the Leg Swoop, which looks like a breakdancing move. It’s really good for hip mobility and shoulder and core stability.

The second is the Swinging Plank, which will really challenge your shoulder and tricep endurance and core stability, as well as co-ordination.

A bit of a buzz at the moment is the launch of the TACFIT Commando program heres a a few videos of Eric Wong demonstrating a some bodyweight exercises for MMA.

Eric learned these 2 unique exercises from his friend Adam Steer, who is a student of Scott Sonnon, creator of the TACFIT Commando program.

The Frog Hop helps to develop your mobility in the deep squat position as well as pushing strength through the upper body. It’s also a fun little exercise to do – you’ll see why when you try it.

The Windmill will improve your striking power by training explosiveness through the hips and core in the rotational plane – exactly what you need to throw powerful strikes.
