One of Zach Even Esh’s latest videos of a wrestler going through a portion of his wrestling workout using an exercise called the Barbell Man Maker.

For wrestlers, Zach opt to call this exercise The ‘Beast Maker’

Here are a few options Zach suggests a wrestler can in use in applying this exercise to his wrestling workout for improved performance

- Perform the exercise for 20 seconds on / 10 seconds rest for 6 minutes total to simulate a wrestling match. College wrestlers can crank for 7 minutes.

- Perform 5 x 5 with 30 – 60 seconds rest after ea. set

- Peform the exercise for 15 seconds on / 15 seconds off for 10 – 15 minutes.

Brian Oberther and Smitty having a great workout, starting with a mobility / foam roller / general warm-up session.

Next was front squats. Shown here is each of their final sets,  combined them with Log Military Press, then moving on to Waddles using the Napalm’s Nightmare rotating handle which is 2.5 inches thick.

Finally finishing off their workout with Prowler Rope Pulls on the Hyper Extension machine.

Watch for the epic back extension fail about 2/3 though the video…these guys are hard core!
