Jon Jones retains his position at the top of the Light Heavyweight division with a lop-sided unanimous decision victory over Rashad Evans at UFC 145 today. Evans was unable to figure out Jones’ reach, striking ability and takedown defense and throughout the entire course of the fight only really landed a partially blocked headkick in the first round that backed Jones’ up for a bit and then a decent right hand in the the third. Jones however rocked Evans with a number of elbows from the outside and from the third round on seem to hit Rashad with everything but the kitchen sink. Evans perhaps finding some solice in the fact that he was the first man to take Jones the distance.
